Sharpening
Shears
Most grooming shears have a beveled or German edge. Beveled scissors are sharpened, honed, cleaned, lubricated and adjusted.
Blades
A new clipper blade can be sharpened at least 10 to 15 times. We try to remove as little metal as possible and still get the blades sharp. Blades are disassembled, inspected, sharpened, d-magnetized, cleaned, reassembled, and adjusted.
Clipper Repair
Maintaining your clippers is just as important as sharpening your blades. Sometimes when a blade isn't cutting properly, its not because the blade itself is dull but rather it could be something in the clipper itself is broken.
At Blade Runners we'll take off the housing unit of the clippers, take a look at the parts inside, replace any worn or broken parts as well as re-lubricate any parts that need it, reassemble the clippers, and make sure they are working properly.
